Colegio Santa Cruz

Colegio Santa Cruz (Holy Cross) is located in Santa Fe, a small sugar mill town that is now essentially a suburb of San Pedro. It is one of the first Episcopal Schools to be established in the DR. The school provides grades K through 8, high school students from this area can go to San Esteban for 9 - 12.

It is about 15 miles from Santa Cruzto San Esteban, but they are on the same guagua (a small minibus sized bus, pronounced waa-waa) route . It costs 5 pesos each way, less than 30 cents, but not an insignificant sum for those who would need to do a round trip every day.
