Dominican Episcopal DioceseVisit the website of Iglesia Episcopal Dominicana at www.dominicanepiscopalchurch.org/ This is a new (2003) site of the Dominican Episcopal Church. The site is in English St Matthew's Episcopal Church, Lincoln, NESt Matthew's is the "home base" of Colegio Kids. Many of our scholarship sponsors are members of St Matt's. The church sponsors a mission trip to the Dominican Republic on a three year cycle. The next planned trip will be in 2005. Bob and Ellen Snow, missionaries to the Dr, are alumni of St Matthew's and maintain very close ties. UCE - Universidad Central d'EsteUniversidad Central d'Este (Central University of the East region) or UCE is located in San Pedro de Macoris, about 50 miles east of the Capital. This excellent University offers degrees in Medicine, Dentistry, Engineering, Education and various Business fields. The site is in Spanish, but if you access it from Google.com it can be translated to English for you. Rotary Club 14 - Lincoln, NebraskaThe club is involved with a project to provide rehabilitation equipment to Clinica Esperanza y Caridad in San Pedro de Macoris, DR. This is a joint project with the Rotary Club of San Pedro. www.rotary14.org The club has raised $20,000 US which was used to purchase physical rehabilitation equipment, such as a treadmill, weights, therapy tables, etc. Equipment was delivered to the Clinic in February, 2004, at which time a team from Club 14 visited the Dr to assist in installation of the equipment and training for its use.
