Scholarship Program (General Information)

Scholarships allow qualified kids from poor families to attend high quality, academic schools that will prepare them for the future.

Desk Project   NEW 4/2004

This project was completed in June 2004. We obtained 400 new school desks to replace dangerous old desks at Colegio San Esteban.

 

Book Project

Colegio Kids cooperated with the Sabre Foundation and the Episcopal Diocese of the Dominican Republic to provide over 20,000 new books to the schools in 2002. This project will continue in future years.

Dental Program

Our primary health program currently involves the dental health of the kids in our schools. This is a serious problem throughout the Dominican Republic. It is our goal to provide dental care to at least all our scholarship students. 

Clinica Esperanza

Clinica Esperanza y Caridad, a clinic that provides health care to the underserved. Colegio Kids provides  assistance to the Clinic's programs. We have participated in their women's health program, "Project Hummingbird" and provide support and supplies to the Dental Clinic.

Colegio Kids is also cooperating with  Rotary Club 14 of Lincoln,   Nebraska in a project to provide equipment to the Rehabilitation Clinic at Clinica Esperanza y Caridad.
