The Dominican Episcopal Church is committed to providing education to young people, regardless of their religious affiliation or ability to pay. Scholarships, provided by individuals, churches and groups such a Colegio Kids, allow the schools to educate those who would otherwise be financially unable to attend.
This school year (2005-2006), the schools need to provide financial help to at least 700 students, an increase from 280 in 2000 and 407 in 2001. Colegio kids will arrange nearly 20% of these scholarships from donors in Nebraska, who have "adopted" two schools in the San Pedro area. We challenge groups in other areas to adopt one of the other schools and are ready and willing to assist you. We are also assisting 25 young people to obtain a University education.
